<dlowe> I once foolishly made a 3d game engine in ruby, figuring I could do the heavy lifting with C extensions. The C part did lighting, polygon culling, back-to-front sorting of polygons, texture mapping, and updating position based on velocity. The ruby part incremented the velocity with the acceleration.
